Padilla is arguably the pioneer of corporate, financial and economic news on Spanish-language television for Latin American and Hispanic audiences with his influential talk show that aired on CNN en Español for 15 years until 2011.

Since then he has been a freelance financial news journalist and published author, with a daily interview podcast ¨A las 5 con Alberto Padilla¨ focused on global corporations and the world economy.

An experienced public speaker, Mr. Padilla has moderated panels and presentations for international events for the OAS, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum. Panels include world leaders such as Chinese Premier Hu Jintao, the Managing Director of the IMF and the Secretary General of the OAS, heads of state and major global corporations.

A communications expert, Mr. Padilla has a deep and proven understanding of the cycle between the needs and desires of international businesses and economies, media/journalists and consumers.

Alberto Padilla is well known in the industry speaking in Spanish, or in English regarding Latin America, its economies and business.

Prior to becoming an independent, Padilla served as producer and anchor of CNN's prime-time financial news program, "Economia y Finanzas". In that capacity, he produced the program for the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets.

Padilla's strategy resulted in a highly profitable 15-year program. The format included in-depth interviews with the continent's business and political leaders. It combined face-to-face interviews with an analytical approach that gauged audience interests. The program was viewed by more than 25 million cable subscribers. Its ratings were consistently good and high-profile advertisers and public relations firms invested heavily.

CNN used Padilla to interact with the heads of PR firms such as Oglivy, Fleishman Hillard and Porter Novelli. He had constant contact with CEOs and vice presidents of public relations for large transnational corporations such as HP, Dell, Microsoft, The Trump Organization and Oracle. Many of these companies were entering markets or were immersed in major internal or external crises.

At the tactical level, Padilla focused on obtaining in-depth interviews with national and international personalities. Some of the interviewees included Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Larry Ellison, John P. Chambers and virtually every president of Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. The interview methodology was to provide a balanced dialogue, focusing on economic, political and business challenges and was broadcast from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the topic or interviewee.
